Need to know where to find good "kid friendly" information about energy? Check back on this page soon (and often). We'll list useful resources that we have found here!
Here are two good ones to get you started!
1. The "Energy Kids" Page
- http://www.eia.doe.gov/kids/index.html (home with links to activities, games and more!)
- http://www.eia.doe.gov/kids/energyfacts/sources/whatsenergy.html (great overview diagram)
This very cool site from the Energy Information Administration really lays out the different types of energy sources. A great resource for coaches to get started. And filled will cool activities and games for kids.
2. Power Puzzle Video Library - http://webstreamer3.doit.wisc.edu/lego/
This is targeted at FLL (5th to 8th grade) kids so it might be too advanced for JFLL kids. BUT it is a great resource for coaches! There are two videos about energy in the "Project Video Files" section.
